april showers

April is truly a busy month. It is packed with all kinds of activities for the monkeys. Monkeys are reciting poems, writing compositions, spelling and even karaokeing. Monkeys are enjoying themselves but Lucyriver think that too much activities for the monkeys will distract them from their training.

The kingdom of the flower fruit mountain has a huge makeover lately. Soils are toiled and trees are knocked down, making way for buildings. One of my favourite spot has now gone bald. Gone are the purple flowering trees and the yellow-flowering angsana. According to one of the elder sun wu kongs, the trees have been there for around 30 years.

Plenty of flowers and plants are planted around the kingdom, that's one joy and of course the orchids Lucyriver mentioned earlier. Lucyriver's donated orchid is from home, the tiny yellow butterflies, a very common species. Last week, when Lucyriver strolled the sunday market, Lucyriver discovered a light purple tiny butterflies, same species.

In April, somehow the shower of rain has gone. It's a sunny day most of the days. April is also the time of sakuras. Lucyriver wish that Lucyriver is standing under the sakura trees now with the soft breeze blowing.

If not a shower of rain, a shower of sakuras, perhaps...
